Hearth & Hollow Plant CSA

Plant CSA in Vancouver, WA

Give your garden the head start it deserves. Skip the big box stores this year and start your garden with healthy, hyperlocal plants grown right here in the Pacific Northwest.

When you join the Hearth & Hollow Plant CSA, you get seasonal plant starts, guides, and support so you can grow food at home with confidence.

How it Works

CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. A Plant CSA works like a traditional CSA, except instead of produce, you get plant starts.

Each quarter, you’ll pick up a selection of vegetables, herbs, and flowers grown right here in Vancouver, WA. With over 200 varieties of seeds to choose from, you can either pick exactly what you want to grow or let me curate a selection for you based on what thrives in that season. The plants are timed for the season and come with a grower’s guide, so you’ll always know exactly what to do next.

Over time, you’ll build a garden that produces fresh food for your family while you learn to grow with the rhythm of the seasons. And I’m here as a resource throughout the season if you need guidance.

Fall Q3 2026: Aug–Oct (late successions + fall planting)

Late greens, root vegetables, and fall crops to carry you into winter.

What’s Included

  • Healthy plant starts — grown from non-GMO seed in organic soil, adapted for our region. I use either secondhand plastic pots or OMRI-certified Fertil pots that decompose in place (great for plants that don’t like being transplanted).
  • Seasonal grower’s guide — simple instructions for planting, tending, and harvesting each quarter’s plants.
  • Ongoing support — I’m here as a resource throughout the season. Got questions? Ask me.
  • Monthly newsletter — tips, reminders, and recipes to keep you on track.
  • Community connection — become part of a neighborhood movement toward seasonal, sustainable eating. This summer, I’m planning a celebration for CSA members.
  • Discounted price on additional plants all season — love an impulse plant buy? We get it. Save 20% on any additional starts you pick up.

Optional add-on: Add a jar of my small-batch raspberry jam to your CSA share for $8. Made with organic fruit and honestly the kind of thing you’ll want to hoard for yourself.

Pick Up Options

Shares are available starting mid-February.

Porch pickup at my place (SE Vancouver, Ellsworth neighborhood) happens whenever works for you—just give me a day or so of notice. If you’re choosing your own plants, I’ll have Sundays available for that.

Vancouver Farmers Market pickup is Saturdays starting 2/21/26.

After you order, I’ll email you closer to planting time with pickup date and location options.

Frequently Asked Questions

What size are the plant starts?

Most starts come in 3–4″ pots. Some crops do better in cell packs (think lettuces), so you’ll get multiple plants per pack. Everything’s potted to the right size, so you don’t have to panic-plant in chaotic spring weather.

What if I’m out of town during pickup?

Porch pickup is flexible—just let me know a day or so in advance when you can come by. For farmers market pickup, you can arrange to pick up the following week or have a friend grab your share.

Can I choose my own plants or do you pick for me?

Both! You can either pick exactly what you want to grow or let me curate a selection for you based on what thrives in that season.

What if I sign up for the full season and something changes?

Life happens. If you need to cancel, reach out and we’ll figure it out. I’m not going to hold you to it if circumstances change.

Do you offer gift subscriptions?

Yes! Plant CSAs make great gifts. You can also prepay for single starts and choose your plants at the market when you’re ready.

What if a plant doesn’t make it?

Let me know within a week of pickup and I’ll replace it or give you credit toward your next share.

Can I add extra plants to my order?

Absolutely. CSA members get 20% off any additional starts all season long.
